This website emphasizes photographs of Nevada. Nevada is within the geological province of the Great Basin, meaning that the mountains are generally oriented in a north/south direction and streams drain internally.  Many people think of Nevada as a monochromatic state”.  In the right light, however, there is a kaleidoscope of colors and beauty.
